Excellence Peterbilt is involved in its community on a daily basis. We sponsor many causes that are close to our hearts and we have decided to support Autisme Montérégie in particular.
Autism Montérégie is a non-profit organization created in 2006. This regional association specializes in autism spectrum disorders (ASD) mandated by the Ministère de la Santé et des Services sociaux (MSSS) to support people with autism and their families in the Montérégie sector. Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is a neurological disorder that affects the development and functioning of the brain from childhood and has an impact on people’s abilities and capacities.
Autism Montérégie’s objective is to improve the quality of life of these people by offering:
– reception services, telephone support, referral/referral to appropriate resources
– support meetings and documentation on autism spectrum disorder
– tools on the steps to be taken, the services available, the methods of intervention, the promotion of needs and rights through awareness and training sessions for families and community organizations
We decided to support this important cause to especially help our employees who have children with ASD in their daily lives.
Our actions and contributions
– Our 2019 show truck carries the slogan of the Association Autisme Montérégie will be walking all summer long to convey the message: Together, let’s change our perspective on autism.
– In 2018, we sold sunglasses. In 2019, we created tights, bottles, trucks and mudguards, the profits of which are entirely donated to Autisme Montérégie.
– In 2018 we were very happy to make a contribution of $3000 and we are working to donate a larger amount this year to make an even bigger positive impact.
